OSSCO’s Annual Education Conference and Information Fair is only 2 weeks away (November 17th, Jamaican Canadian Centre 995 Arrow Road) and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome hundreds of seniors from across the GTA for our 2015 event.
This year’s theme is “Living Your Way”. Thanks to our sponsors and speakers, the 2015 theme introduces seniors to ideas and services about their options to live life their way and to take back the decision making process that impacts on them. While many services are available to older adults, some decisions are best left to informed minds - who better to make those decisions for you than yourself?
We’d like to acknowledge the support of Richmond Springs Inc. as our Platinum Sponsor. Richmond Springs Founder John Fedyna is the embodiment of the Living Your Way concept, as he seeks to bring older adults together with his Peoples Platinum Partnership housing model. Representatives from Richmond Springs will be on hand on November 17th to give each of our participants a glimpse into that model and how, within the concept, seniors can be empowered as well as generations of family members.
There are five dynamic presentations as well. Thank you to ERAssure, Phytogenix, Ontario Energy Board, Ontario College of Trades and The BridgGroup for taking part in our program. Each group presents different perspectives, on various aspects of life to help empower older adults in decision making for health, finances and personal well-being. Attendees have ample opportunity to receive valuable information from our speakers as well as from our exhibitor hall.
25 exhibitors are slated for the day. Visit this area to get knowledge on products or services to keep independent and active.
One (1) senior will be honoured with the prestigious Dan Benedict Award for Social Justice. Join us for the presentation mid-day.
OSSCO-SOCAO’s Annual General Meeting follows the Seniors’ Educational Conference from 2pm – 2:45pm
