Finance Minister Launches Pre-Budget Consultation for the 2016 Ontario Budget

Tuesday January 12, 2016, Charles Sousa, Minister of Finance will host the first pre-budget consultation for the 2016 Ontario Budget. Minister Sousa will be available to media before the consultation session.

Organizations, businesses, municipalities and First Nations as well as individuals will have an opportunity to put their views forward to The Honorable Charles Sousa, Minister of Finance and The Honourable Mitzie Hunter, Associate Minister.  In particular, the Ministers are interested in hearing Ontarians’ views regarding what more the government can do to create jobs and grow the economy, while eliminating the deficit.  

Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations will be participating in a pre-budget consultation and is seeking comments and insight from the seniors' community and organizations who support seniors. After visiting www.ontario.ca/BudgetTalks, share your thoughts with us including: suggestions on strategies to create opportunities for economic benefit for adults 50+, ideas on transforming government, investing in infrastructure such as transportation, intergenerational debt fairness, outcomes based incentives and accountability in the public service and others. Email your thoughts and comments to ocsco@ocsco.ca by January 15.
