Nominations now being accepted for Dan Benedict Memorial Award
Ontario Society for Senior Citizens Organizations is seeking nominations and applications for its Dan Benedict Memorial Award. This distinguished award celebrates the contributions of an individual or organization that advances social justice for seniors in their community. The Award honors the legacy of former board member Dan Benedict. In his memory, OSSCO annually reaches out to the community to find individuals and organizations that are working for social justice in seniors’issues and recognizes them and their efforts with this Award.
Nominees should demonstrate an ongoing interest in and ability to enhance the quality of life for Ontario seniors through their efforts and work, enriching the lives of this community. The Nominees efforts help foster an environment in which a whole community can learn, collaborate, and participate regardless of age, culture and diversity.
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 30, 2016.
The selected nominee/applicant will receive the 2016 Dan Benedict Memorial Award and be profiled at the Seniors Education Day and Information Fair on November 15th, in Toronto.
