The Ministry of Government and Consumer services would like to thank you for providing feedback to support the review of the Travel Industry Act.
A report summarizing the findings from the stakeholder consultations in the first phase of the review is now available. The report also outlines preliminary options for potential changes to the Travel Industry Act which have emerged as a result of these discussions. With the release of this summary report, phase 1 of the review is complete.
Members of the public and the travel industry are now encouraged to review the summary report and provide input on the questions and options presented of the report during phase 2 of the review. You may email your input to TravelIndustryAct@ontario.ca by April 14, 2017, or register to attend one of the consultation sessions to discuss your input in person.
Based on the feedback provided in phase 2 of the review, the ministry will work with stakeholders to develop a set of options and recommendations which may include potential changes to the act and/or the regulation. These options and recommendations will be detailed in a final report which will be posted for stakeholder feedback.
