Why this Project? Violence against women (VAW) is common to all communities, including Muslim ones. Recommendations from previous CCMW project "Violence against Women: Health and Justice for Canadian Muslim women" were that Muslim men and boys, as members of their family, must be part of the solution in eradicating violence against women and girls within families.
